South Limburg – A Walk in Brunssummerheide

Last weekend we put on our mud boots and went for a long walk in the Brunssummerheide with our friends Esther and Dwayne. One thing I promised myself this year is that I would get back into photography. It’s been a while since I’ve felt one with my camera and this walk was the perfect opportunity to bring it out and get a feel for it in my hands once again.

The Brunssummerheide is a stunning nature reserve in South Limburg, Netherlands, known for its rolling heathlands, dense forests, and sandy plains. Covering approximately 600 hectares, it offers a diverse landscape that is protected for its rich biodiversity, including rare plants and wildlife such as roe deer and numerous bird species. It is especially breathtaking in late summer when the heather blooms in shades of purple.
